GST Bill passed. ‘Kuchcha bill’ is past. That is ‘pucca’, says PM Narendra Modi.
Fast Forwarding the Indian Economic Reforms into the next phase of transparency and uniformity, The Parliament of India, passed the Goods and Services Tax Bill. It now requires 50% of the state assemblies to ratify the same.
The PM , Mr Modi also observed that once the GST becomes Law, it would end Tax Terrorism and corruption by unscrupulous businesses, which burdened the consumer unfairly and deprived the state of taxes. The practice of giving Kuccha Bills ( Informal invoices) would die as ‘pucca bills’ (genuine bills) would be de rigueur.
